I really like it. The shading really adds to the picture, making the brute look grim.
It might have slight asymmetries, but I think that only adds character to the creature; no natural thing is completely symmetrical.
Keep it up. (Nice signature by the way)

First, thank you for the compliment :)
Then, I use GIMP 2.6, this is a program made by linux, but it also works on Windows. Also you've got the same capabilities to edit or draw a pic like with photoshop ;)
